This plant-based, sugar-derived emulsifier is ideal for creating creams and lotions with a wonderfully soft, melting texture. The resulting emulsions are very fine and particularly appreciated by dry and mature skin. Since Emulsan has limited thickening power, it is recommended to combine it with a thickening agent, such as cetyl alcohol, or a co-emulsifier, such as VE Emulsifier. By varying the proportions of Emulsan, texturizing agent, and oil phase, it is possible to obtain a wide range of textures, from lotions to thick creams, with varying degrees of richness.
